Start Sequence and Courses

We start using a 2 minute sequence, with times hailed from the comittee boat (usually one of the Lasers). Hails are made at 2 minutes, 1 minute, and 30, 20,10, 5, 4, 3, 2, and 1 Seconds.

We sail windward-leeward  courses, once or twice around. For example, once around would be Start / Windward  (round to port) / Leeward (round to port) / Finish. The course is hailed prior to the 2 minute countdown.

Parking and Launching

There is usually ample parking for boats and trailers, the exception being on a warm winter afternoon, when it is best to arrive by noon.

There is a boat ramp and dock for trailer or dolly launching, and a hose for rinse down.  The park charges a $5.00 launch fee.

Shoreline Aquatic Center

You can rent Sailboats and Windsurfers at Shoreline Aquatic Center. Summer Camps for the kids, too. Located on Shoreline lake, and a long term supporter of our racing.   www.shorelinelake.com
